Surgery Abroad is an independent guide and matching service for patients considering surgical care outside their home country. Through the Colombia Medical network, we connect you with accredited clinics and internationally trained surgeons — covering cosmetic surgery, dental, vision correction, hair restoration, fertility, regenerative medicine, and recovery programs.
Why surgery abroad
Over two million Americans travel for medical care every year, and the number is growing. The reason is straightforward: the same board-certified surgeons, the same equipment, and comparable outcomes are available at international hospitals for 50–70% less than domestic prices. For many patients, the savings cover flights, accommodation, and recovery combined.
Why Colombia
Our network is focused on Colombia because it leads the field. Several of Latin America's top-ranked hospitals are Colombian, surgeons routinely train at elite US and European institutions, and the country's healthcare infrastructure is built to serve international patients. Direct flights from most US cities are 3–5 hours, and recovery destinations like Medellín and Cartagena offer year-round warm weather.
How we work
We're not a clinic and we don't practice medicine. We research, vet providers, and make introductions. You tell us what you need; we reply with realistic costs, clinic options, and direct answers. The treatment relationship is always between you and the medical provider.
